Historic Cedar Rapids Iowa

These pictures are in a souvenir booklet that I estimate is from the turn of the century to around the 1920s. I rescued this out of a box of old post cards and photos that someone found in a house in Huxley Iowa back in the 80s.

Some of the photos I rescued had names on them and I was able to find decedents of some of the people in them and return them to the family. I may tell that story some day.

Others that no one could identify I still have and among those thins was this booklet of pictures from Cedar Rapids.

It has the name George Anderson of Huxley written on the back, no dates. It says One Cent Postage without message on the back.

You can still find booklets of photos like this around tourist areas today.

I used iMovie on the Macintosh to explore the photos in detail and put them into a video.

I have several old photos from different time periods as well. Perhaps I will put those into a video one day they are all fairly interesting.
