Boosting Livestock Industry

MinDA Starts Lecture Series
On Silage-Making, Fattening

On Monday, Jan. 4, the Mindanao Devellpment Authority IMinDA) started the year 2021 with a face-to-face lecture and field demonstration on how to prepare silage from Sorghum stalks and leaves for cattle, carabao, goat and sheep feeds in Bayugan City, Agusan del Sur.

It was the first in a series of face-to-face and on-line lectures on silage-making and small and big ruminants nutrition as part of MinDA's program to boost livestock production in Mindanao.

The lecture was made by former OFW Arnel Corpuz who now manges the Adelaide River Farm in Polomolok, South Cotabato which is involved in Cattle Fattening.

Arnel, one of the Most Outstanding OFWs who worked in a 50,000-head Wagyu feedlot in Australia for 11 years, is one of the consultants of the Mindanao Development Authority.

His task involves conducting face-to-face and on-line lecture series on how to prepare silage for big and small ruminants and how to fatten Cattle for Profit.

Since we failed to broadcast the Silage-Making lecture live on FB because of the absence of internet connection in the field, we are sharing here a full-length recording of the lecture done in Pagkain ng Bayan Center in Bayugan City, Agusan del Sur on Monday.
