This video holds a lot of information and still so many questions unanswered. However, I believe, having compared the crimped area and the MS that is still growing the MS cover crop is definitely holding more moisture than bare fallow. There has to be living plants for the mini water cycle to happen, bare ground doesn't create this cycle.
