For some characters, the airdodge animation will influence their survivability when being launched toward the upper blast line, most likely due to the fact that their airdodge animations will shift their hurtbox either toward or away from the ceiling. Some Internet folks are showing knowledge of this fact, but it definitely has not yet been popularized.

I tested many characters in both high knockback (as seen in the video) and low knockback situations, and the results were identical. I also tested some select aerials with certain characters, and none appeared to be helpful—but maybe there's 'one' out there that can help its owner survive.

Here is my current list of survivability results when mashing airdodge after Sonic's Up Throw:
