Joe is a specialist at North Coast Electric in Portland, OR. He put this great slip ring demo together as a proof of concept for a customer. He built it using painted wooden supports. It features two TLY series motors with absolute encoders, one spins the main shaft and a second is mounted ON the main shaft and so must be powered with slip rings. the small AB flag is held still by counter-rotating the motor on the shaft. The demo is controlled by an Allen Bradley Compact Logix Programmable Automation Controller (PAC). This is an excellent demonstration of "Integrated Architechture" Motion. Enjoy!
