The Agricultural Credit facility is intended to provide medium and long term loans to projects engaged in agriculture and ago-processing.

At a cumulative disbursement of 268 Billion extended to 435 projects, it is intended for onward lending to farmers through selected commercial banks at an interest not exceeding 12%.

However accessing the facility remains a very difficult task, according to new findings in a new study conducted by PELUM Uganda.
