Pearl Redline drive shaft vs Trick drive shaft

Описание к видео Pearl Redline drive shaft vs Trick drive shaft

The difference between the slave pedals with the original Redline shaft and the Trick upgrade are huge. You can definitely feel it while playing. I have also been using the Trick for DW shaft on my DW5000 for the past four years. It improved the feel of the slave tremendously.

I did both of the tests in the video 5 times, and I got the same result every time. When there's no angle in the shaft, there's pretty much no difference. When the shafts are even lightly angled, the Trick shaft performs much better.

Nevertheless, the Pearl Eliminator Redline is a fantastic double pedal. It is super easy to adjust, and it is super smooth to play.

Pedal and settings:
- Pearl Redline P-2052C, bought in March 2020, max. 20h playtime with the original shaft (I use this on my second kit).
- Trick P1V6P shaft, brand new.
- Beaters were in the same condition.
- Beater angle is near the factory setting
- Spring tensions were equal, close to the factory setting
- Black cams
- Board height is the highest of the 3 settings at the cam.
