how pearse was remembered by people who met him, sydney gifford ,louise gavin duffy, kathleen clarke, sydney gifford is a sister of grace who married joe plunkett a few hours before he was executed on may 4 1916, the sister she refers to is muriel who was married to thomas mcdonagh executed may 3 1916 , after the proclamation was signed on holy thursday tom clarke went home to share the great news with his wife , he also told her one of the signatories didnt agree with the equal rights for women part but signed anyway , kathleen clarke never revealed who this signatory was , but i believe it is now quite obvious .
