Casual gaming review of the Hisense UHD 4K TV A6K (50A6K)

Описание к видео Casual gaming review of the Hisense UHD 4K TV A6K (50A6K)

I bought this TV for my personal use after looking through dozens of displays and this one was the most interesting to me.
However there were some misformation online and also some from Hisense themselves !
The picture on amazon claims 120hz support but in reality it does not (as i suspected).
It does have VRR and ALLM however, making it a good budget display for PS5.

The black levels are okay for an IPS panel but certainly not as good as OLED, QLED etc... The backlight bleed is also quite noticeable from up close and it seems that this TV is intended to be used from the bottom.
Watching it from above or slightly will cause the backlight bleed to be more noticeable.
It's also seems to be intended to be used in a completely dark room as otherwise you will see a reflection of yourself on the screen.
HDR suport on this display is pretty bad as expected and i could not see a difference between SDR and HDR.
This isn't a huge surprise given that this display has no local dimming support.

As for gaming however, this is very good considering its price.
VRR is supported indeed and so is ALLM, which worked out of the box for me on PS5.
I tried the Switch on it and i think that it looks quite good all things considered even though it's only 1080p (you can output 4K on the Android port on Switch but that's besides the point), this is pretty awesome for SDR content.
The OSSC is well supported and most of the stuff that matters works fine (up to 1080p).

For PC use, if you insist on RGB you are stuck with 8bpp at 4K HDR. If you want 4K at 10/12 bits, you must use YUV422. Unfortunately it seems that this display does not support the extra HDMI 2.1 bandwidth so don't expect to use RGB at 4K 10-bits.
