Summary of steps using TFTP transfer:
1. Connect to your console
2. Login to your cisco switch
3. Setup your switch IP address to use for TFTP Server
4. Setup your TFTP Server
5. copy tftp://x.x.x.x/firmware name.bin flash:
*x.x.x.x, this is the ip you assigned that tftp will use
*copy from(tftp...) to(flash:)
6. dir flash://
*verify your file
7. boot system flash://your file.bin
*this will move your file into inactive image
8. reload
*this will move your file from inactive to active


Summary of steps using web interface:
1. you can use default ip of cisco switch
192.168.1.254: if there are no dhcp server, the switch will use this as default
1.2 setup new ip address
2. connect your pc to the switch
3. Use your web browser and access the ip you setup/default
4. Login to you switch
5. upload your downloaded firmware version
*system - file management - firmware operation - choose file (locate your file - upload)
6. apply
7. reboot
