Nobel laureate Muhammad Yunus to be chief adviser of interim govt in Bangladesh. Bangladesh descended into chaos on Monday as Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina surreptitiously resigned and fled the country in a military aircraft while the Army stepped in to fill the power vacuum. Restoration of law and order is the biggest issue facing Bangladesh now and if that cannot be achieved, there will be a spillover effect in neighbouring countries including India, Muhammad Yunus, Nobel laureate and founder of Grameen Bank, told CNN-News18 in an exclusive interview. Now that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has been ousted, the situation has taken a turn for the better and the country has to ensure that the celebratory mood doesn't turn ugly. People should get back home after celebrations and it should be business as usual from morning, he said.
