In this video, Eli compares the Stokke Tripp Trapp and Nomi high chairs. Fun fact: both chairs were designed by Peter Opsvik. Peter was not happy with the highchair options available for his own children and decided to take matters into his own hands; he set out to create a highchair designed with comfort and easy interaction in mind, resulting in the Tripp Trapp. The Nomi followed years later inspired by Peter's grandchildren and offers a more modern design with the same signature touches as the Tripp Trapp. There are a few key features shared by the Tripp Trapp and Nomi that make them superior choices over the endless high chair options sold worldwide. Both seats provide a large, height adjustable footrest; children are more comfortable when they have a place to plant their feet, and in turn will sit for a longer period of time. Both the Tripp Trapp and the Nomi chair have a weight capacity of 300lbs. These highchairs are designed to grow with your child through every stage of childhood and beyond. The Babyset with harness provides support for babies and can be used until about age 3, at which point the babyset is removed and the highchairs are converted to chairs- while still utilizing the adjustable footrest. The most important design element of the Tripp Trapp and Nomi highchairs is their ability to pull right up to the dining table. Peter's vision was to bring the whole family together at dinner time. While traditional highchairs isolate baby the Tripp Trapp and Nomi allow for family bonding time with baby included.
