Exploring the Deepest Cave on Earth Gone WRONG | Veryovkina Cave Disaster

Sergei was a married Russian mountaineer with two children, living in Sochi, Russia. On the morning of November 1st, 2020, Sergei said goodbye to his family, got into his car, and drove off without revealing his destination. Unbeknownst to them, he had planned to tackle the expansive Veryovkina Cave in neighboring Abkhazia. Sergei, an avid sportsman in peak physical condition, enjoyed running marathons and participating in various athletic activities. He often went solo trekking or mountain climbing. Despite his limited experience, having only caved twice in his hometown, Sergei believed it would be thrilling to traverse the Veryovkina Cave alone.
