In this episode of the Conservation Convos series, Randy and the crew head down to southwest Montana to help with a conservation project removing and modifying barbed wire fence. Antelope generally can't jump fence so they are forced to duck down underneath to cross. This can become a serious problem when herds need to migrate to different areas during different seasons.

In this particular spot the herd migrates over 80 miles from Horse Prairie up to the Mt. Haggin Wildlife Management Area. Between those destinations are about 55 total fences for them to find a way under. This can cause serious injuries and strip their hide from their back.

So Randy and the crew team up to help pull barbed wire and help modify the lower strand allowing antelope to pass through unharmed. They work hard to pitch in to do their part for conservation.
