Windows Audio Reset Video

Описание к видео Windows Audio Reset Video

I probably enjoy experimenting with the electrical, electronic and software aspects of manipulating music as much as I like playing an instrument, and I do everything in real time rather than using a DAW (Digital Audio Workstation). There are a few dedicated software programs designed specifically and only for live performances, and my program of choice is Gig Performer.

Latency is the dragon chasing the performer when using software and computers for live recordings, and audio latency defects show up in the audio stream as clicks, pops, crackles, hisses and other junk, sometimes subtle, sometimes overwhelming. However, every once in a blue moon the problem is the Windows audio subsystem itself. It's rare, but does happen. I have created a short 2.5 minute video from several screenshots on how to troubleshoot and restart the Windows audio subsystem without rebooting, which is an almost instant fix without having to restart the computer and all the apps you were using. Since this applies to any application audio on Windows, I thought I'd include it here on my channel for anyone that might find it helpful if they have the same problem. NB: there is no voice over on the audio, thought I'd spare everyone that experience!
