Played on an original N64 cartridge (PAL) I show how to jump through the infamous "prison" bars at the bottom of the first ice rupee room to get straight "onto the ferry to the other world!" aka to Bongo-Bongo as fast as possible!

The trick is - make sure you have 1 key from the ice rupee room to access the room before Bongo-Bongo, fall down through the fake floor to be inside the "prison cell", get in the farmost right-hand corner and be at exactly 90 degrees.

Hold Z (HOLD Z THROUGHOUT THIS WHOLE THING!!) and do 3 side-hops in quick succession, as you land on the third press c-up to stop and hit your sword to recoil away from the bars at the best distance to jumpslash through it - you will now have the correct angle, you'll know if it's right by a miss of the trick, your sword will "clang" the bars twice. You need a perfect 45-degree angle for it to work.

If you miss the first attempt which I do here, KEEP HOLDING Z and slowly edge yourself back a little to the left of where you were to start with when you did your first sword stab on the bars.

To finish the setup, you need to attack (stab, jumpslash and another jumpslash) at 45 degrees so adjust the angle to make a perfect 45-degree angle (50% of a right angle, acute enough to slide right through), JUMPSLASH, JUMPSLASH (you should only need a few) and once you're through the other side if you fall into the void, you can then try again! Or you can longshot onto the ladder then jump on the ferry ;) (my new speedruns will be up ASAP)

It took me maybe 20-30 attempts to be able to do this consistently I hope it helps! It has helped my new speedruns so much! I hope it helps yours too!
