Quickly connecting all the devices and doing some jamming, most settings are completely goofy (like the compressor, I haven't had the time to really dive into it but I just love the sound of the RNLA) but this is just a session to look for the sound and feel of this track.

And now I have to disconnect and pack up everything, a big move incoming.

Equipment used:
Roland JD-Xi Synthesizer, a powerhouse of sound
Elektron Octatrack Performance Sampler
Mooer Ocean Machine, reverb and delay FX pedal
Alesis NanoVerb 2, used for diffusing the somewhat digital sound of the Ocean Machine
FMR Audio RNLA (Really Nice Leveling Amplifier) for compressing the sound a bit

Still missing a compact mixer, the Octatrack is currently handling all the mixing and it works but is a bit cumbersome and takes up one track from the already super limited track supply of the Octratrack.

This setup sort of works, but it's not the way I'm used to creating music. I love layering samples and creating lush rhythms and soundscapes that way and the Octatrack is not the device for that. I would need to create my song in a DAW, then chop it up and only perform it on the Octratrack, which kind of defeats the idea of creating stuff directly on it.

I have my eyes on the Synthstrom Deluge, but we shall see ...

Also, the NanoVerb is stuck in mono mode for some reason, I haven't yet figured it out. Lots of tweaking still needed. : )
