Hello and welcome to my wood-crafting channel.

Oh the joy in working with up-cycled skateboard decks is just too much fun. I wasn't planning on this project having enough stock to make two bowls but it turned out that way (pun intended). What do you think? The two pieces of each bowl were glued 90 degrees to each other to create the offsetting rainbow pattern. Search the internet with some variation on how to "make a turned bowl from one board" and you will see a few methods to do this. I used the lathe to cut my bowl rings. Another method is to use the band saw but the ring half's need to be glued back together and this might be fine as that can crate some really cool patterns if using a glue up with different colored woods.
