Jeep Cherokee: Thermostat Replacement Procedure ['84-'01 XJ] MJ, YJ, TJ, ZJ, WJ 4.0L/ 2.5L

Описание к видео Jeep Cherokee: Thermostat Replacement Procedure ['84-'01 XJ] MJ, YJ, TJ, ZJ, WJ 4.0L/ 2.5L

How to replace the Thermostat on a 1987-2006 Jeep 4.0L or 1984-2002 Jeep 2.5L. This video applies to the Wrangler YJ and TJ, The Grand Cherokee ZJ and WJ, and the Cherokee/ Comanche XJ and MJ.

All of these engines use a 195 degree Thermostat. Installing anything lower is not a good idea for various reasons, and is just a band-aid fix, avoiding the real problem. If anyone has told you to “just use a lower temp thermostat”, they’re more than likely wrong. As I like to say, “There’s nothing more permanent than a temporary solution.”

If you have any questions, just ask!

For reference, I primarily worked on a 2001 Jeep Cherokee XJ and also used some footage from a 1987 Jeep Comanche MJ, both with the 4.0L.
