Robbery and theft are similar in many ways. When you see a theft, a standard theft for example, if someone goes into target and accomplishes that theft they can do so without any sort of force or fear at all. They can just conceal an item in their backpack and leave.

To be enhanced to a more serious crime of robbery, there has to be some type of taking against the will or force or fear. When you have that component, it is a type of theft but it's commonly charges and much more serious crime of robbery.
