Dor Khoun Meuang and his adopted herd now now live freely in the Nam Pouy National Protected Area in Laos after being released in 2019 by the Elephant Conservation Center 🐘🌳

Recently, Dor Khoun Meuang became quite unwell in the forest. Thankfully, the veterinary team were able to find him and treat him thanks to his GPS collar. He was given extra food to build his strength back up. Here he is enjoying some juicy watermelon. We are all so relieved that this beautiful boy is okay.
