This is Part 4 of the Unorthodox Leg Lock Entries series.

In this video, we look at a counterattack from Single-Leg X (Ashi Garami) by first buying time, hiding the heel, and then turning your opponent’s leg positioning into a submission.

The key idea here is not rushing the counter. By putting the “boot” on, straightening the leg, and turning the toes out, you temporarily hide the heel and slow down their offense. That window is what allows the counterattack to work.

En este video vemos un contraataque desde Single-Leg X (Ashi Garami), empezando por ganar tiempo, ocultar el talón y convertir la defensa en una sumisión.

La clave aquí es no apresurarse. Al “poner la bota”, estirar la pierna y girar los dedos del pie hacia afuera, ocultas el talón por un momento y frenas el ataque del oponente. Ese espacio es lo que hace posible el contraataque.
