The Changing Face of Iceland (2021)

The third installment in Mark Terry’s trilogy of polar documentaries focuses on the impacts climate change is having on the island nation of Iceland. Touching the Arctic Circle at its north end, changes to Iceland’s glaciers, land, flora, fauna, economy, and people are examined in this documentary film. Recent volcanic eruptions at Mount Fagradalsfjall are featured.
Decorated polar explorer Mark Terry completes his trilogy of documentary films revealing the impacts of climate change on the Arctic and Antarctica. His previous two films were The Antarctica Challenge: A Global Warning (2009) and The Polar Explorer (2010), both having aired on CBC in Canada and released in the US by PBS, and screened at United Nations’ climate summits.
