Hurtdeer is an experimental multigenre non-binary artist. Their work has dipped toes into a range of tempos, rhythms and styles. Having first cut their teeth on making weird dubstep, their form has since developed into a more chimeric and unexpected sound, often trading back and forth between multiple genres within the same track. Wobbly basslines, manic breakcore break chopping, tornadic juke rhythms, or a simple extremely loud series of kickdrums- all written as a love letter towards a history of dance music that shaped them. With support from Wonk#Ay Records, Acroplane and Midnight Snacks, and regular gigs including opening for Culprate, being a Boomtown small venue regular, and travelling all the way to New Zealand's Twisted Frequency- this deer has kept their long career of making computer noises very busy.
