The right investments can truly change our lives 🙌 My husband and I don't come from a lot of money. In fact, we bonded over the fact that we are both hyper-independent 😅🥲 About 7 years ago, we saved up and bought our first condo with a tiny down-payment. With some sweat equity and the luck of the real estate market, that grew and afforded us our dream of owning a house in Portugal.

It was the right timing and luck being on our side, but also a largely due to the fact that we don't waste on short-lived pleasurable purchases.

I know how lucky we are. I also know this isn't possible for everyone for many reasons. But I'm putting it out there hoping that this message can reach the right person. Don't underestimate what you can do by living below your means and investing in the right things. Take the risks, know when to give up and when to push through. Affording the life you want will take time, but it will be worth it once you get it.
