In the Ward ending, Col. Korshunov uses the eighth pod to achieve SIRCAA's ultimate goal: total control of the Zone. The Zone's uniqueness fades as anomalies vanish, structures collapse, and the chaotic skies turn calm. Skif finds what he sought—a home—accepting a key from Agatha of SIRCAA. Though offered an officer role in the Ward, he shows little interest but remains under their control. SIRCAA's power expands beyond the Zone, with Skif and others under constant surveillance. The Zone's dangers are eradicated, but its essence and freedom are lost.
