After years of trying, I was finally able to capture my first Sikorsky S92 as G-FXCT visited London Heliport. This spectacular giant is a real sight to witness and to make the experience even better, I was also blessed with a sunset departure on a very cold but clear, sunny day! Worth to note that around 02:41 and 03:12 you can hear a Sikorsky S76 starting up in the background with its distinctive, loud and deep sound, and I find it quite amazing how the S76's engine startup can outroar even a departing S92!

The Sikorsky S-92 is an American twin-engine medium-lift helicopter built by Sikorsky Aircraft for the civil and military helicopter markets. The S-92 was developed from the Sikorsky S-70 helicopter and has similar parts such as flight control and rotor systems. It is powered by twin GE CT7-8A turboshaft engines and has an aluminium airframe and some composite components. The four-bladed fully articulated composite main rotor blade is wider and has a longer radius than the Sikorsky S-70. The tapered blade tip sweeps back and angles downward to reduce noise and increase lift. Most of the rotor system components aside from the blades are titanium.
The S-92 features an active vibration control system, using vibration sensors and structurally mounted force generators to increase flight comfort and lower acoustic levels to below certification requirements.

London Heliport (ICAO: EGLW), previously called Battersea Heliport and currently known officially as the Edmiston London Heliport for sponsorship reasons, is London's only licensed heliport.
The facility opened on 23 April 1959, it is located in Battersea on the south bank of the River Thames a few miles southwest of Westminster Bridge and between Wandsworth Bridge and Battersea Railway Bridge. The heliport, once owned by Westland and then Harrods, is a very small site, it provides a helipad for take-off and landing, and onshore parking for three to four aircraft, depending upon their size.

London Heliport has a fully licensed rescue and firefighting service who are on duty for all aircraft movements at the port as well as providing an emergency response to any helicopter incident within the London area.
