Fernando Alonso 100th Podium Tribute

"Magic Alonso", "El Nano", "Matador", "Nando" or whatever you want to call him, he's surely one of the greatest drivers in the history of Formula 1.

After making his debut back in 2001, Alonso quickly established himself as a force to be reckoned with, winning his first World Championship with Renault in 2005, and following it up with another title the following year.

Since then, Alonso has continued to amass an impressive collection of race wins, pole positions, and podium finishes, and in this video I collected parts of his journey to achieving his 100th podium in Formula 1. After leaving Renault, Alonso raced for McLaren and then Ferrari, but struggled to achieve the same level of success that he had enjoyed earlier in his career. Finally Aston Martin helped Alonso to find his missing two pieces of podiums in the season start, first in season-opener Bahrain and second in Saudi Arabia, Jeddah last weekend. Even tho he got penalty from incorrect starting position and all the controversy at the end, he finally achieved the great milestone. Alonso is only sixth driver to reach that with Hamilton, Schumacher, Vettel, Prost and Raikkonen. There's surely more to come.
