Donkey Kong Country 2: Level 26: King Zing Sting (Boss 4)

After outrunning the wrathful King Zing in the previous level Rambi Rumble (or in my case, had him "outrun" me), you get to fight him for real in this level, at the very end of the entire Krazy Kremland complex.

This is a unique battle, as you have to turn into Squawks in order to beat King Zing. You must aim your eggs at his red glowing stinger. If he gets hit enough, he's start turning red, invincible, and shoot smaller stingers in all directions for a few seconds. Just dodge him when this happens until he changes back to black and yellow. It seems like each hit makes him move faster, too.

After taking enough damage, King Zing loses his zing and shrinks! He becomes invincible and surrounds himself with more Zingers. Take out those Zingers, then you can hit him directly, again, but watch out, for he is at his angriest in this form and will try to chase you down.

Just pelt him with more eggs, and you'll eventually squash this pest!
