Medical Reviewers are persons who are involved in the auditing activities of hospitals or other healthcare units. They review the data records of patients to ensure the correctness and extent of patient care. They often work with healthcare facilities such as Hospitals, Nursing homes, Doctor’s offices, and with other auditing firms. Incomplete or incorrect documentation of records may adversely affect the reputation of the healthcare facility. It may also cause cancellation of the license of the physician and loss of repayment from an insurance company.

If the Medical Reviewer comes across any relevant mistake in the document, a citation is given to the medical staff in charge of it. He will be given a fixed time frame to correct the mistake. At the completion of this fixed time frame, the Medical Reviewer follow up the documents to make sure whether it is up to compliance.
