INFORMATION: As of June 2022, Singapore does not require any COVID testing, I was able to exit the airport and enter Singapore and re-enter the airport the next day for my transit flight. Keep in mind VISA requirements still need to be met.

In order to save $600, I decided to book a flight from Jakarta to Los Angeles with a 28 HOURS TRANSIT in Singapore, turning a typical 26 hour journey to almost TWO WHOLE DAYS worth of travel time. Rather than waiting mindlessly in the airport, I treated it as my own mini vacation buffer before returning to my regular life in LA.
