Deliciously baked Brie Cheese wrapped in puff pastry with an edible holiday design!! A favorite crowd pleaser!! Recipe below...

BRIE CHEESE IN PUFF PASTRY

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.

1 (16 ounce) wheel of Brie Cheese

3/4 cup walnuts, coarsely chopped or substitute with pecans

3 tablespoons apricot jam or substitute with fig jam

2 tablespoons dried apricot, diced

1 (17.3 ounce) Frozen Puff Pastry 2 Sheets, thawed

1 egg plus 1 tablespoon of water for egg wash

1. Unfold 1 thawed puff pastry sheet on flat surface. Add brie wheel in the center. Top with jam, walnuts, and dried diced apricots.

2. Add the additional sheet of thawed puff pastry over top of brie. Cutting approximately 1-inch off corners of top puff pastry only. Form pastry around brie cheese. Pull up bottom pastry sheet over top to securely wrapped around brie cheese and toppings. Use cut corner pastry pieces to make a design on top before baking, optional.

3. Whisk together egg and water. Use to hold pastry together and brush evenly over pastry before baking for a golden baked shine.

4. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes or until golden in color. Serve with crackers and/or vegetables and fruits.
