He meets curator Dr Charles Clarke, who says the conservatory is the most popular part for visitors to explore.

There are palms, aroids, bromeliads, ferns, orchids, nepenthes and a butterfly collection.

There’s even an epiphytic cycad, growing in a hanging basket - a real rarity.
