This is Vanessa Marin, a sex therapist. “The clitoris is a part of the female anatomy and it is the only part of the male and the female body that exists solely for the purpose of pleasure. So it has no other functions. There is nothing else that it does other than just feel good,” she explains.

Here are 5 things to know about the clitoris:

1. It is an organ only made for pleasure. In its entire structure, there are 8,000-9,000 nerve endings!
2. It has similarities with the penis. For example, when a person is erect, both the penis and the clitoris can engorge since they both swell with blood.
3. It is the key to vaginal orgasms because all orgasms are clitoral orgasms.
4. It has health benefits. By masturbating, one can increase their pain threshold.
5. There is still a lot to learn about it. The true shape of the clitoris was only discovered 10 years ago!
