Older Washworld Razor with Newer Arch at Thermal Jet Car Wash in San Marcos TX

Описание к видео Older Washworld Razor with Newer Arch at Thermal Jet Car Wash in San Marcos TX

Today, I'm up at the Thermal Jet Car Wash in San Marcos TX along Hunter Rd near Wonder World Dr where they have this early model Washworld Razor car wash that has been fitted with a later model arch cover. This system was a replacement to an old D&S 5000 system without any dryers, and at one time used to have another D&S 5000 (also without dryers) that operated alongside this Razor, but some time in about this year or last, the owner decided to ultimately retire the old D&S 5000 altogether and the system was ripped out, so sadly, this Razor is the sole operating automatic car wash at this car wash site, and sadly, I don't see them replacing that system with another car wash system (like another Razor like this one) because upon ripping out the D&S 5000, they tore out the pay station as well, but at least this system is still around today, so this visit at least wasn't a total bust. I did buy the top dollar wash for this video which came out to only $10 at the time of this video (not bad by today's standards) and wash quality for this I would give it a 7/10 (it wasn't great like others, but at the same time, it wasn't terrible either, but what brings this down mostly is the fact 1 of the nozzles on the wash arm is clogged, but thankfully, it's not one of the nozzles on the front that are clogged), the undercarriage wash did good (complete with power tower wheel blasters), the first presoak pass was pretty good even with a clogged nozzle (complete with front double pass), the 2nd presoak however was a bit lighter than the first (with another front double pass), and surprisingly, this did give a 3rd presoak pass using the overhead nozzles rather than the wash arm, but sadly, the coating was just as, if not lighter than the 2nd pass with the arm, however the high pressure rinse cycle (with front and rear double passes) did do a good job washing off the presoak, the tri-foam pass was surprisingly good, the overhead rinse cycle did good, the surface protection wax pass did great, as did its respective overhead rinse pass, and the spot free rinse cycle was good too still utilizing the overhead sprayers, and lastly the oddly angled High Velocity (made by Premier) dryers did to a good job drying off the vehicle (those always do great for me) even though they do appear to be a bit in rough condition, particularly the middle dryer as it's missing its blower cover at the end of the nozzle, but at least it still works. I hope you enjoy the video and stay tuned for more.
Southwest Car Washes did film the D&S 5000 before it eventually got ripped out (   • ($8) Awesome D&S 5000 - Thermal Jet C...  ) so at least the memory of it will live on through YouTube.
