Demonstrating Geospatial Analysis of Ocean Currents to determine a suitable Time-Window for safe passage of Remotely-Operated Underwater Vehicle (ROUV) for inspection of Oil Extraction Infrastructure in the deep seas. ROUVs are routinely launched from Oil Rigs and Floating Vessels to deep dive and inspect the Oil Wells in the ocean. These vehicles have operating limits – they can only function where the velocity of the ocean current is below a certain threshold. Ocean currents are highly dynamic in nature. Its velocity and direction varies with time and at different depths. I will visualize the multi-dimensional Ocean Current forecasts on ArcGIS Pro (Geographic Information System software) which will help mission planners to plan and schedule their Deep-sea Inspection at a suitable time window which would serve to minimize the risk for the ROUV.
