Every year Startup Grind hosts SG Women’s Month, recognizing incredible female leaders from all over the world. Throughout June, we’ll be hosting events worldwide, bringing together female entrepreneurs and CEO’s, startup leaders and investors who are shaping and funding the future of technology – especially in AI.

The annual SG Women's Summit in London is back on June 27th, 2024 at 6 PM BST at the in the Landmark Office Space - 99 Bishopsgate, EC2M 3XD. We've lined up 2 hours of invaluable advice and lessons learned from top female VCs, founders, and educators as well as networking with fellow female founders from your community.

Véronique Rapetti is an amazing trilingual, strategic and impact-focused Learning & Leadership professional with over 25 years of experience. She is a strong advocate for unlocking entrepreneurial skills and mindset to support personal and professional growth, innovation and new thinking. Véronique has worked with over 300 founders, large organizations, and various entrepreneurial projects, and is involved in several non-profit activities. She is fluent in French, Italian, and English, and has received prestigious awards for her contributions, including the Freedom of the City of London and the Chevalier de la Legion d'Honneur.

Tonia Samsonova is a serial entrepreneur and founder of the AI platform for artists, Exactly.ai. Born in Russia, she became a well-known broadcast journalist, TV Anchor, and online editor before moving to London in 2013 as a foreign correspondent for the Echo of Moscow. Building on her media career, Samsonova founded the Russian-language news and opinion platform The Question in 2014, aged 28. She sold it five years later to ‘the Russian version of Google’, Yandex. Driven by her lifelong passion for art, in 2022 Samsonova founded Exactly.ai, a platform which enables artists to easily train their own personalised AI model and scale their creative work, while keeping ownership of every image created and the model which created it. She lives in London and has four children.

Afiya Chohollo is a dynamic and visionary technology Founder & leader with a wealth of experience in driving technical innovation and strategy at the highest level. She is Cofounder of CloudFO, CloudFO is an AI finance colleague, bringing the power of Generative AI to Company finances. Just ask a question ...and CloudFO performs complex analysis or forecast your key business metrics in seconds. Afiya embarked on this entrepreneurial journey after scaling Onfido’s AI platform as VP of Engineering for 5 years to serve thousands of clients and drive more than$120million in ARR, With Afiya’s expertise in program management and cross-functional leadership, Several engineering disciplines and technical execution; She has a proven track record to consistently deliver results. She has done so across various industries & organisation sizes from Manufacturing, eCommerce, education, FinTech and AI SaaS software. As well as being a published scientific researcher. She is a skilled communicator who applies a scientific approach to problem solving, regardless of the challenge at hand. Afiya's ability to seamlessly switch between interpersonal, technical, theoretical, and practical considerations makes her a valuable asset.

Dr. Chanuki Illushka Seresinhe is the Chief Data and Technology Officer (CDTO) at Boon, an organisation that leverages AI, psychology, and human expertise to tackle significant societal challenges. She is also the co-founder of Beautiful Places AI, a venture utilising crowdsourced data and AI to generate detailed, high-resolution data about scenic locations worldwide. Dr. Seresinhe holds a PhD in Data Science from the University of Warwick, where she explored the impact of environmental aesthetics on human well-being using online datasets and deep learning. Her research, conducted at the University of Warwick and the Alan Turing Institute, has been highlighted in various global publications, including The Economist, Wired, The Times, BBC, Spiegel Online, The Guardian, The Telegraph, Scientific American, Newsweek, and MIT Technology Review. Before her data science career, Chanuki ran a successful digital design consultancy in London for over eight years.
