⭐⭐ PRESS RELEASE CISF Head Constable Arrested for Murder of Juvenile During Marriage Function

Incident Overview
A tragic firing incident occurred during a marriage (Baraat) function near DDA Market, Community Hall, Mansarovar Park, resulting in the death of 17-year-old Sahil @ Lalli. The injured juvenile was immediately rushed to Hedgewar Hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead. After committing the offence, the shooter fled the scene.
Formation of Teams & Supervision
Under the guidance of ACP Seemapuri and close supervision of SHO PS Mansarovar Park, a dedicated Crack Team led by SI Sandeep Bishnoi (IC Crack Team) along with SI Amit Beniwal, ASI Sunil, HC Anuj and HC Pardeep was constituted.
Additionally, an ASBS Team headed by SI Ajay Tomar (IC) with HC Navdeep was tasked to assist in tracing the accused.
For technical support, ASI Deepak and HC Manoj were deployed to strengthen surveillance and analysis efforts.
Identification of Accused
During local inquiry and detailed analysis of CCTV footage from the marriage venue, the accused was identified as:
Madan Gopal @ Bhanu
S/o Ramshankar Tiwari, Age 41 years
Cousin of the groom Jitender
Designation: Head Constable, CISF
Present posting: Neyveli Uttar Pradesh Power Limited (NUPPL) Ghatampur, Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh
Tracking and Arrest
With extensive CCTV scanning, technical surveillance and secret intelligence inputs, the escape route of the accused was traced. Raids were conducted in Surajpur, Noida.
Subsequently, based on technical inputs and local enquiry at Bharthana, District Etawah, the accused was apprehended from H.No. 62, Vishambhar Colony, Azad Road, Bharthana, Etawah.
During sustained interrogation, the accused admitted that during the marriage procession, his altercation broke out over the collection of fake currency notes by local boys being showered by him in Bharat procession. Enraged and frustrated during the altercation, he forcibly pulled aside one of the boys and fired at him from point-blank range using his licensed .32 bore pistol and fled from spot.
The weapon used in the offence has been recovered at his instance.
Further investigation is ongoing to establish the complete chain of events, conspiracy, and the precise motive behind the crime.
Mansarovar Park police station in Shahdara on Saturday night. The incident appears to be related to a wedding ceremony. Police are investigating the matter. The deceased has been identified as Sahil (17). Preliminary investigations suggest that Sahil had either gone to the wedding to eat or to steal money during the horse ride. The reason for his visit will be clear only after the investigation. Police arrived at the scene of the shooting and immediately rushed Sahil to the hospital, where doctors declared him dead. The body has been placed in the mortuary at Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital. Police have begun examining CCTV footage from the area. The incident is being thoroughly investigated from every angle. Prashant Gautam, DCP, Shahdara District, stated that on 29.11.2025, information was received from a citizen that a child had been shot near the Community Center, DDA Market, MS Park. Upon receiving the information, the scene was visited, the crime team was called in, and upon investigation, it was discovered that the deceased minor, aged 17, a resident of New Modern Shahdara, was shot during a wedding function (baraat) taking place in front of the Community Center.
The victim was taken to Hedgewar Hospital, where he was declared dead.
An accused in this case has been identified and arrested. He is a Head Constable in the CISF, currently posted in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. A pistol has also been recovered from him. He is being interrogated for further information. At first glance, it appears that this was a case of a sudden altercation between the deceased and the accused at the spot. Further necessary legal action is being taken.
