In this webinar you will hear an introduction to our lightsheet microscope and the start of the LiSIUM-Lightsheet Imaging at Universidad Mayor, supported by the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative, CZI. An opening speech is presented by the president of Universidad Mayor, Patricio Manque, followed by Leonardo Valdivia, the PI who with the help of Ramon Ramirez and Joaquin Letelier acquired the FONDEQUIP grant with which the lightsheet was acquired. Then Alenka Lovy discusses the specific aims of the CZI grant to Expand Global Access to Bioimaging, announcing a postdoctoral position opening to learn to build the Flamingo lightsheet microscope in collaboration with the developer of the system, Jan Huisken. Finally, an introduction to the ZEISS Lightsheet 7 microscope is given by Ignacio Velasquez from MicroxChile SpA, the official distributor of ZEISS Microscopy followed by a more in depth introduction of the system from ZEISS.
