Riding Houston METRO Bus route 102 northbound (bus model: 2013 Nova LFS Artic retrofit) from Downtown Houston to George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH). IAH airport is Houston's largest airport that is located north of the city. This is the only Houston METRO bus route that goes to Bush Airport (terminates at Terminal C). FARE 🎟:
The trip between IAH to Downtown Houston is approximately one hour and the cost to ride (full fare) is $1.25. For more information about METRO's fare, please visit METRO's fare webpage at: https://www.ridemetro.org/qticketing.

METRO does not sell fare cards at the airport. You have three options:
1) When boarding the bus, pay at the fare box (by the bus driver). The bus fare box accepts exact change only ($1.25). But not transfer ticket will be issue.
2) Before coming to Houston, you can order the fare card at METRO's Online Store: https://www.metroridestore.org/

TRAVEL TIME 🕰:
Route 102 comes every 15-30 minutes. Make sure the bus head-sign that states "BUSH IAH EXPRESS DOWNTOWN". Or ask the bus operator if this bus is going to downtown.

BUS RAPID TRANSIT (BRT):
In the future, METRO is going to build a BRT line that will connect from Downtown Houston to IAH Airport via IH-45 North Freeway Express Lanes. This BRT line will start after the IH-45 reconstruction project that is managed by TxDOT (an agency that manages Texas highways/motorways).
