Empyrean UNKNOWN Vs. Adrenaline Hammer - Monster Hunter Frontier ZZ - 上級至天UNKNOWN ハンマー ソロ【MHF-Z】

Empyrean Unknown or "Upper/Advanced Shiten" Unknown is one of the hardest battles in all of Monster Hunter Frontier.

The funny thing about Unknowns is that they are normally docile and laughably slow monsters that tend to avoid confrontation unless provoked.

However, they are an extremely invasive species (older versions of MHF would actually have Unknown invade your quests, a mechanic that wasn't present in mainline until MHP3rd), which is why they are requested to be hunted by the Guild.

And, well... it's when you start attacking an Unknown that they show their true, beyond destructive selves, and no other quest shows this better than Empyrean Unknown.

Her fight is an amalgamation of a lot of different Flying Wyverns' movesets from Frontier, but in this quest she definitely has a lot more unique stuff going for her.
It's a difficult but also extremely scripted fight in the first phase, with a 10 minutes time limit, it takes a lot of endurance to go through it.

The whole deal around her design is obscure, there's no real explanation for all of it as far as I know, it's just the most edgy thing imaginable, taking what is arguably the series' original flagship, Rathian, and turning her into some kind of manifestation of Evil.

I grinded this fight for three days, searching for the perfect run, I basically became obsessed with her, I killed more than dozen just to get a run that was:

1) Hitless, I had some special items and effects that could allow me to have a chance to survive even at Adren HP, but I didn't want to get hit period

2) Visually pleasing, like not getting near a single wall to avoid fighting with the camera, and despite how much I had to focus, I still tried my best to do some cinematic camera work.

3) A good completion time

And I still cannot believe I managed sun 7 eventually without using Fencing+2 and missing quite a lot of charges in this run.

I feel like I conquered this Monster and I'll probably never forget it. Especially since I never thought I would make it this far in this game to begin with...
