Rubettes - Tony Thorpe AKA The Firm - Arthur Daley. He's Alright

A Top of the Pops clip - which I have enhanced to give a brighter image. Tony is very recognisable and I remember seeing this particular show. Arthur Daley, if anyone doesn't know, was a very dodgy geezer indeed and was featured with his minder in...Minder. He was played by the veteran actor George Cole who was famous for his roles in the St. Trinian films, about a school where the girls were very naughty indeed (all clean fun!!) He played another dodgy geezer in it and so I guess he got a little stereotyped. Tony does a good job here playing a dodgy geezer and it is funny.
