Inside the abandoned Port Glasgow estate dubbed 'Scotland's Chernobyl'

This is Clune Park estate in Port Glasgow.

The clydeside area has been almost completely abandoned since 1997.

Buildings have been boarded up and chained as the once-thriving shipbuilding community lies in ruins, including a large church and Clune Park
primary school.

The remains of people's previous homes lie dilapidated and burned out as the estate is littered with broken glass and debris.

Buildings have been heavily targeted by vandals and arsonists, leaving shells where people once lived out their lives.

Speaking to one resident, we were told that only around 50 people remain living in the area as they told of their worries of their flat being torched whilst they were out.

Clune Park is now set to be demolished following lengthy disputes between private landlords and Inverclyde council spelling the end for the blight on the Clydeside area.
