Challenges:

The Parker Solar Probe faces immense challenges due to its proximity to the Sun. Temperatures in the corona can reach several million degrees Celsius, and the spacecraft's heat shield must withstand this extreme heat. To achieve this, the probe uses a specialized heat shield called the Thermal Protection System (TPS) or "solar shield," which keeps the instruments behind it cool and functional.

Since its launch, the Parker Solar Probe has provided unprecedented insights into the Sun's corona, solar wind acceleration, and the processes that lead to space weather events that affect Earth.
