For a long time, war no longer seemed to be part of political debates - it seemed merely a phenomenon from the past or the fate of distant countries on the planet. In the third issue of On Violence, the Italian philosopher and post-operaist, Maurizio Lazzarato talks about the permanent continuity of warlike violence and its recent manifestations. War, according to Lazzarato in his book Wars and Capital published with Éric Alliez, is a constitutive element in the relations between the state and capitalism.
