This video is an examination of the illegal punches that Terrell Williams assaulted Pritchard Colon with in their match. On Saturday, October 17th, 2015 23 year old Puerto Rican Welterweight and promising prospect, Prichard "Digget" Colon sustained severe brain injuries and subsequently had emergency brain surgery to relieve the pressure in his brain due to a number of blows to the back of the head which are considered "illegal" in the sport of boxing. These blows were administered by his opponent, Terrell "Tyger" Williams (who, unbeknownst to the Colon corner, is known for illegal blows to the back of the head or "rabbit punches"). During the fight, Colon complained numerous times to the referee, Joe Cooper but his plea for help from the referee to do something about the illegal blows went unnoticed. Joe Cooper is also known (in the boxing world) as a very questionable referee with some of the fights he refereed ending in a controversial manner.

During the Final moments of round 7, after another illegal blow to the back of Colon's head, Colon succumbed to the illegal blows and was knocked down. He was checked by the Doctor, Richard Ashby, who was hired by the commission to observe the fight. Colon advised the Doctor that he was feeling dizzy. The Doctor checked the back of Colon's head and advised he was okay to return for the next round with no hesitation. Colon then continued on with the fight (not before being told by representatives from the Virginia Boxing and Wrestling Commission (Executive Director, David Holland) to stop with the "stalling antics" referring to the amount of time he took to recuperate from the knockdown) although it was visible he was having issues and pain on the left side of his head. As the fight continued, so did the punishment and the illegal blows.

Once the fight was finished and the adrenaline wore off, Colon began to feel dizzier and vomited in the locker room where he eventually became unconscious and was taken to the hospital to have emergency brain surgery. After the successful surgery, he went into a coma, in which he has has some significant recovery but the assault by Terrell Williams has left this man a shell of his once champion self.

COLON WAS DEDUCTED TWO POINTS IN THE FIFTH ROUND FOR AN INTENTIONAL LOW BLOW. WILLIAMS WAS DEDUCTED ONE POINT IN THE SEVENTH ROUND FOR AN ILLEGAL PUNCH TO THE BACK OF COLON’S HEAD.

Their are over 30 illegal blows to the back of Colon's head and the base of the back of the skull near the spine by Williams.

if you pay attention really closely it seems like Pritchard isn't conscious/aware of the other punches after he gets hit in the back of the head, and in my opinion, this is because he is having a concussion. A person who has been punched might experience the effects of concussion . They may or may not lose consciousness, and for a time their cognitive functions might be impaired. They will most likely have a headache, might have memory loss, nausea, dizziness and ringing in the ears. Some concussions cause you to lose consciousness, but most do not. This is why during the fight he seems like he isn't responding to the punches because he is not. When you take a a hit to the back of the head and see a white light and forget where you are for a microsecond and then he regains his composure and with the adrenaline is unaware of what is really happening. It's my opinion that the other fighter knew the effects the rabbit punch would have and the seconds of recovery after needed by Pritchard. Williams takes advantage of the rabbit punches the entire fight like this is what he trained for to win the fight with dirty tactics/ illegal moves. Most people fail to see the seriousness of this Man's health being effected from the beginning of the match by illegal moves. They are illegal moves because they cause permanent injury to people. Those punches compounded over time are a horrible thing to witness and these injuries just compound the longer the fight is sustained by a dirty ref and dirty fighter. That spark of light is usually stress on the nerves in your retina in your eye. They short circuit for a brief moment. There may also be some trauma/stretching of the optic nerve where it passes through the skull into the brain.
