I’m a big fan of Lambda School, a wildly successful coding school that allows students to learn coding and only pay back their tuition if they find a job.

I saw a tweet from Brian Moir that said, “Thanks to @Career_Karma and @LambdaSchool I have more than tripled my annual salary, and have had more job offers for jobs that will actually put me ahead in life than I ever had. I came from making less than 15k a year to now make 4x that amount. I’ve now been sober for over a year, and in that year I needed something to make a better life for myself and my daughter.”

This was a really beautiful thread. That’s exactly what we want to see—people who are not into tech be able to get onboarded into tech, earn more money, change their lives, and do well.

Lambda school makes that possible for so many people.

On the note of Lambda School, I also saw a tweet from Austin Allred, the founder, mentioning companies that have hired Lambda School graduates. One of them was BigCommerce in Austin. I’m wondering if there are Lambda School graduates in town that I could have as guests on the podcast.

Hopefully I’m able to do that soon. Lambda School is a really awesome company and they are helping a lot of people clear obstacles to get into tech careers.
