My Name is Melanie Maningat, Channel name: Swell Mell


2. What does the name of your channel mean?

Swell Mell was a nickname given to me that sounded super catchy! I also surf so the two things just tie in well together.


3. Tell us somethings about yourself:

Capricorn/Filipina/in my twenties
I snowboard/surf/skate
I travel/love to camp/off-roading/explorin
love thrifting/secondhand used gear (having fun within afforadble means)
Graphic design/photography/video editing


4. Where are you from?

-Lompoc, CA


5. Why did you start a YouTube channel?
Went through a health scare
Realized I wasn't happy (in my career)
Also realized that I need to stop neglecting the things that MAKE me happy (my passions)
Want to inspire others to face their fears
Videos can serve as something I can look back on (growth)


6. What will your Channel be about?
Vlogs: Traveling/Sports/Having FUN but on an affordable scale
Tutorials: snowboarding/surf/skate
Empowering others (women especially!!)
