Natural Kunzite gemstone originating from Afghanistan. This weighs 3.50 CTS and has been cut and faceted into a cushion style. The measurements are approximately 8.6 x 7.4 x 7.2 mm.

The coloring of the stone can be classified as silver or colorless, but some faint undertones of gold can be seen. As with other Spodumene gemstones, a spectacular and unique looking shimmering effect is exhibited, and is most effectively seen in the supplied video.

The gem is fully transparent and has excellent clarity. There is visible flaws or inclusions and this can be considered loupe clean or flawless /near flawless clarity. There is no discernable damage or chips and is in prestine condition.

Gold color Kunzite, also known has Triphane, is the yellow to colorless variety of the silica mineral Spodumene. The gem has a glassy transparency and is pleochoic and shifts into different tones.

Kunzite is a relatively new gem on the market. It was discovered in 1902 and named after the gemologist who discovered the stone, George Kunz. The hardness of the stone rates 6.5 - 7 on the MOHS scale, making this acceptable for regular wear.
