Описание к видео FOR SALE - BSA BANTAM D1 Plunge Frame 1952 125cc

For auction with no reserve is a 1952 BSA Bantam D1, 125cc motorcycle with enhanced plunger rear suspension.
It comes with old style log book (V.E. 60) and an MOT Certificate from 1970.
It was entered onto the BSA Bantam Riders Register in May 2012 to confirm the Engine and Chassis/Frame Numbers are original. I hold the certificate of authenticity.
I purchased the bike in May 2011 and was able to retain the original registration number JMR 176 due to the bikes authenticity and originality.
The motorcycle was registered the DVLA in July 2012 and the V5 Registration Document is present.
The bike is a classic vehicle, and therefore subject to free road tax.
The insurance and MOT expired on 27th July 2013 and I therefore haven't been able to renew the road tax.

Other Information
The motorcycle was restored by the previous owner and the overall condition is good for the age of this classic with only a few minor chips and scratches.
All cables nuts bolts etc were replaced, as have the tyres & tubes, front and back brake shoes renewed, 27 pieces re-chromed inc. front forks, it has had a brand new speedometer fitted showing only 285 miles since restoration, switches and electrics renewed, there are to many new parts to list but there is a log the previous owner has kept listing everything down to the very rare original bike pump clipped under the tank. The engine has had an oversize 40 comp piston fitted and starts easy with no knocks or rattles, gearbox clutch and brakes are also very good and everything works.
The bike has been standing for 12 months, but started straight away when I took it out of the garage today. I've placed a short video on YouTube at
I bought the bike as a short distance run-a-bout, however, my situation changed and I now have a fully expensed company car, hence I have only travelled 15 miles on it since purchasing the vehicle in May 2011. It has been in my garage ever since, hence it must reluctantly go to someone who will appreciate this classic.
Being sold with no reserve pick up only cash on collection within 7 days. I can help with UK mainland delivery if required, which cost me £100 (2-years ago - transported from County Durham to South Devon), overseas bidders welcome but must sort own transport.
Viewing recommended and welcomed.
I'm not a bike expert, but will endeavour to answer any questions.
Thanks for looking and happy bidding.
